Northside improved to 5-9 overall with the victory and 3-1 in District 6-C. The Warriors and Ascension Day School of Lafayette are tied for the league title and will play Monday at Fabacher Field to determine the outright champion.
In Thursday’s game, Northside hurler Jeremy Marceaux picked up the victory. He gave up just two runs on two hits and one walk while striking out 11.
Marceaux was also a force at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a triple, a double and two RBI. Matt Crochet followed with a single, a double and two RBI while Josh Wheeler and Ian Willis were each 2-for-4 with a double and a RBI.
Pierce Rivera also had a big night, logging one hit and four RBI and Nick Gotte had a double and drove in two runs. Jordan Monte, Cameron Williams, Joe Trahan and Tim Monte each had one hit and one RBI in the victory.
