The health fair is open to the public and will feature FREE screenings for blood pressure, glucose, body mass index (BMI), cholesterol and stroke assessment. CIS cardiologists Dr. Deepak Thekkoott and Dr. Charles Thompson, along with CIS nurse practitioner Joey Bonin and other medical professionals of both CIS and LRMC will be available to answer questions. Additional patient education will also be provided for those interested in learning more about heart health.
In an area with one of the highest incidences of heart and vascular disease, these free screenings are provided to encourage Zachary citizens to take advantage of learning the risk factors of heart disease and what steps are needed to reduce them.
