Carol Kelley Brashier, 72, a native and resident of Pride, LA, died on Monday, June 7, 2010. She was a homemaker and a member of the Sandy Creek Baptist Church.

Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary on Thursday, June 10, 2010 from 5pm until services at 7pm, conducted by Rev. Jerry Potts. She is survived by her husband on 53 years, Jimmy Brashier; two daughters, Amy Ashford of Ethel; and Kay Hughes and her husband Mike Hughes of Pride; one son, Troy Brashier of Pride; one sister, Charlene Peairs and her husband Stephen Peairs of Pride; six grandchildren: Megan Hughes, Mikka Richard, Lesley Barnes, Kyle Hughes, Kallie Ashford, and Jessie Blackwell; five great-grandchildren: Royce Richard, Rhett Richard, Murphie Borders, Laura Borders, and Ethan Barnes. She was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a variety of cats and dogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents Louie and Belle Kelley. Friends wishing to make memorial donations in her honor may make them to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
